As a conceptual project for MediaMarkt, I developed a campaign idea around the UEFA EURO 2024. The centerpiece was a Public Viewing event hosted at the MediaMarkt Gerngross store, complemented by snacks, drinks, and branded merchandising such as footballs and popcorn cups. Ahead of the matches, visitors could enjoy an interactive Event Area with Rocket League and FIFA gaming stations, creating a fun pre-game atmosphere for both kids and adults.

The highlight of the evenings was the collective viewing experience, positioning MediaMarkt as a hub for entertainment and technology. To promote the event, the concept included digital screens with live tickers on Vienna’s Mariahilferstraße, inside the Gerngross shopping center, and at Stephansplatz underground station, ensuring strong local visibility. Additional online banners extended the reach into digital spaces.‍

This concept demonstrates the value of connecting in-store experiences with large-scale events to strengthen brand perception. It illustrates how advertising assets can be activated live, for example through digital screens updated with match scores and highlights during the EURO games. The project also shows how cross-channel promotion — from DOOH to digital banners — drives awareness and engagement, while interactive event elements such as gaming zones create a more inclusive experience for diverse target groups.
